Resumo
© 2015 IEEE.This paper presents the rotor field oriented control (RFOC) of an induction motor supported by magnetic bearings. The shaft of the motor is supported by two radial and one axial magnetic bearings. The rotor was inserted at the center of the shaft, which will operate as motor as well as generator, and at the shaft extremity is coupled a small turbine. The mechanical modeling and assembly are presented in details. After that the control system of the AMB is introduced. The RFOC modelling with impressed stator currents is so introduced. The mechanical and electrical system was constructed in a test bench and the experimental results confirm the good dynamic response of the system. It is the intention to use the system in the future for generating electrical energy from gas sources.
