Very-high resistance values can be obtained in small footprint layouts, allowing the development of high-pass filters with RC constants over 1 second. The pseudo-resistor presents two different behavior regions, and as described in this work, in bio-amplifiers applications, important functions are assigned to each of these regions. 0.13 μm 8HP technology from GlobalFoundries was chosen as the target technology for the prototypes, because of its versatility. Due to the very-low current of pseudo-resistors, a circuit for indirect resistance measurement was proposed and applied.
