- Patterns de interface em PDA: Aplicação em coleta de dados de usabilidade(2005-10-23) Plinio Thomaz Aquino Junior; FILGUEIRAS, L. V. L.; DE OLIVEIRA, E. C.; BELLO, T. R.This poster describes interface patterns for PDA defined from usability studies at application developed from Usability Engineering Laboratory. The applications usability studies generated 15 interface patterns for PDA, with propose to create reliability during usability tests in Laboratory. When using defined patterns, it was gotten efficiency during the execution of the application.
- Automatic interface optimization through random exploration of available elements(2013-08-05) FERREIRA, L. A.; MASIERO, A. A.; Plinio Thomaz Aquino Junior; DA COSTA BIACHI, R. A.The Keystroke-Level Model (KLM) is an interface evaluation method that use as metric the time needed to perform an executed action to complete a given task. The description used in KLM is very similar to the formalism that Markov Decision Process (MDP) uses to describe a domain, in which an artificial agent must perform a sequence of actions in order to solve a problem. This work presents a way to model a user's interaction with an interface using MDP combined with KLM in order to optimize a set of parameters and find the best set of interface components for a user. Results show that by changing the metrics of the KLM, the MDP finds different solutions that may be combined to generate an interface tailored for a given user. © 2013 ACM.
- A large-scale analysis of the use of session in a mobile application(2016-10-04) MARCZAL, D.; Plinio Thomaz Aquino Junior© 2016 ACM.Due to the recent proliferation of mobile applications, it has become essential to obtain a better understanding of how people use their devices and applications. The session usage contains the user behavior therefore, the present study aims to analyze which are the most representative session groups in the context of an application that is part of a taxi request platform by the means of an experiment performed in the application made available at application stores and used by real users, performing daily tasks.
