- Framework interface components for accessibility issues in E-commerce(2017-07-05) Plinio Thomaz Aquino Junior; PIAZZA, M.© Springer International Publishing Switzerland 2017.The accessibility support absence in the design of web sites is related to insufficient training of developers, project budget constraints, and the lack of techniques to support development activities that take into account accessibility. This paper presents a component framework developed from the viewpoint of accessibility, based on an interaction pattern language and on an accessibility guideline targeted to complete vision loss. An additional contribution is the development of a components development process that meets accessibility requirements, based on interaction patterns, using a process for the components specification and the usability engineering lifecycle elements.

A.; Plinio Thomaz Aquino Junior© Springer International Publishing AG 2018.In an IoT (Internet of Things) environment new forms of interaction between human and computer can occur through devices that combine the object with sensors and actuators. In view of this scenario, one of the purposes of bringing together the areas of HCI (Human Computer Interaction) and IoT design is to understand how this new form of interaction with the participation of sensors and actuators happens, and thus contribute to the development of the design of interaction adequate to the needs of user. The objective of this paper is to establish the application of the concepts Semiotic Engineering (a theory of HCI), which is based on the study of signs and considers every form of interaction as an artifact to communicate a message between the system designer and the user, to contribute to effective and efficient communication, and consequently increase the quality of use of the system. The validation of this application occurred in a positive way, but with some restrictions that reflect the specific characteristics of this type of interaction, such as ubiquity and the distancing from the traditional forms of interaction (mouse, screen, and key-board) between the person and the computer.

M.; Plinio Thomaz Aquino Junior© Springer International Publishing AG 2018.Adaptive interface is an artifact with the objective to learn the user interactions and improve the system experience, and the adaptive system is a system that can adapt itself according with the user’s goals and preferences. Patterns can be defined as solution to recurring problems in a specific context. The interface pattern are patterns that help to organize the interface, such as structure and behavior, in order to generate more understandable and usable interface. The Interface Patterns in Personas Layers (IPPL) are interface patterns that contain a structure organized in layers that are built and classified according with personas. The goal of this paper is to present a structure of interface patterns based on IPPL that allows future projects of adaptive interface and human-robot interaction to consider the automatic changes of the iterative process based on a set of patterns.
