As consequências dessa complexa
Health organizations are characterized by a set of processes carried out by several specialized professionals, among which, doctors and nurses perform technical functions directly to patients. These professionals are subjected to stressors on a higher scale compared to professionals from other areas. The consequences of this complex relationship can be associated with mental disorders that these individuals develop. Despite its difficult diagnosis, Burnout Syndrome (BS) has become increasingly frequent among professionals who have a direct relationship with each other or who have a great social responsibility, in this sense, studying BS from the perspective of management in Brazil was the objective of this dissertation, since we observed a scarcity of studies on the subject in the field of administration in our country.Taking this gap into account, the research problem for this work was defined based on the following research questions: a) How do managers from health sector organizations experience the experience of having professionals with BS in their workteams? b) What anagerial actions may result from this experience? To answer thesequestions, an exploratory, qualitative investigation was carried out through the theoretical lens of work clinics and more specifically psychosociology or clinical sociology. It is concluded through this study that the personal behavior of each manager directly contributes to mitigate the situation, once the diagnosis of BS was pointed out in some member of his team, and the opposite is also a possibility. Managerial actions also had more individual than institutional characteristics. As a direct result, it appears that the study brings to light an important topic and that it has direct consequences for individuals, their families and society. The correct understanding and the development of preventive measures, can help in the training, protection and performance of medical and nursing professionals since their formation
